Eminent Tech. LFT-16 vs Spica TC60

Eminent Technology LFT-16 vs Spica TC60. What's your opinion on sound quality? Which do you prefer and why?
Thanks
ponnie
IIRC, the ET will be a much more forward sounding speaker than the Spica. The Spica is a neutral, revealing design that is limited in bandwith at both ends, with highly damped bass that's on the "dry" side.

The ET is more dynamic with real sparkle in the treble and a bit of underdamped mid bass hump.

Ironically, the dynamic cone design Spica might, in a way, recall the old Quad panel sound, while the panel design ET feels more like a dynamic speaker (albeit with an unusually appealling highend).

Qualifier: This characterization is from looong ago memory that might have been damaged by the passing of time.

So take it FWIW.

Good Luck

Thanks guys. Any input will surely help. I have a pair of ET LFT 16's on the way. I will compare them. I honestly don't know what to expect with the ET's. But I've been living with Spicas for the past 25 years or more.
the spicas are classics. haven't heard the ltf16 but if its character is anywhere close to its big brother it should be great. i'd keep both speaker pairs.
I have the LFT-16 and love them. I drive them using Mcintosh MA6500. I guess it all depends on your amplification and your entire system synergy..Both speakers are great but i absolutely vote for the LFT 16..
