I use the Lexicon RT 20. Have never had real high end cd player. Would this unit be a good transport for the Alpha Dac or Weiss units? Downsides? Thanks, Pete
Your RT 20 will work as a transport. As far as to how good it will sound, I'm not sure. My best guess is that it will sound OK. At the very least you can use it temporarily in your system until you decide to get a new transport, or not.
The Lexicon RT2 is a $5k player. I can't imagine it wouldn't at the least have pretty low jitter and in terms of functionality plays SACDs if you bypass the DAC.
