Set up correctly, the 8C are incredible speakers. They rely a lot on getting the room correction dialed in right, but I’ve heard them play directly from a PC, no fancy streamer, and they sounded excellent considering total system cost. I’m certain you can get even better results using a dedicated streamer. If your room is the right size for them (not too small, not too large) I’d definitely recommend them to be on your consideration list.
Dutch & Dutch 8c in 2023
I have a pair of KEF LS60’s and I am getting the itch to upgrade. I prefer to stay in the digital domain with active/powered speakers.
My question: Are the Dutch & Dutch 8c speakers still a good buy in 2023? They came out 5 years ago and a lot has progressed in terms of tech, materials, etc and $15k is a lot.
