I've owned several Arcam pieces, but neither the A19 or A28, Arcam does have a house sound. These will not have the rumble of the Hafler. They will be sweeter. MAC definitely has a house sound, so I don't know where you are with that.

I've always found Arcam to be fairly accurate although not too ballsy, maybe even a bit thin depending on source and wiring.
