I'm not a "Danny Boy" afficionado but I do know that Lloyd Walker has demonstrated his table since the inception of Walker Audio using this music. I bet if you contacted him on his website that he would have some knowledge of good/better/best quality recordings, at least in terms of vinyl.
Danny Boy - Recommendations
I have several versions of Danny Boy, but am looking for some really inspirational versions. My current favorite version is from Jhenna Lodwich on her All My Loving CD. If you do not know her, I would recommend you give her a try.
