DAC Transformer Hum - Affect Audio?

Hi all, my DAC has some hum from the transformer (note: only audible when close to the unit, not at the listening position or through the speakers). I'm assuming this has something to do with DC on the line. My question though is, although I can't hear it from where I sit, is it having a negative effect on the audio signal? And if so, would a "DC Blocking" product have a positive effect?

It's not affecting the audio signal. If you're sure you can't hear it at all from the listening position, there is no point in getting a DC blocker. If you find you are becoming aware of the hum, you could try one. I recommend the AVA HumDinger. I have 3 of them, which work great in my applications.
