Crazy crazy crazy

If we ever get through all this craziness and Axpona kicks back up meet me on the second floor at the bar. I’m buying the first round. Stay safe friends.

@arch2   Although you didn't use the phrase "return to normalcy", your mention of "get through" and "kicks back up" was more than enough to trigger the knee-jerk [I use the term advisedly] reaction in MC, whose  fantastical bunkum seems to get more strident with every passing day.
The thing is, I don't find MC's noxious diatribes fun, or entertaining, or amusing.  Even though the audience of A'gon audiophiles that they reach is small, compared to other platforms, any one of these that is allowed to stand can have seriously harmful effects.
Can I just say that without doubt and with no room for argument that Islay Malt is by f-a-r the best alcoholic libation to imbibe on the planet.  The only questions that remain open and subject to a certain degree of debate are which brand and how many years old.  All else is resolved (unlike the many audio dilemmas that still plague us).
@isochronism   Don't understand how a historical fiction poorly translated from the original mixture of Hebrew and Aramaic can be cited as in any sense an authority on any subject.
The textual and editorial history of the "bible" is fascinating and I encourage everyone to delve into it, at least a little.

Here are some, err, facts.

No one knows who wrote the book of Daniel.
It is impossible to determine the degree of historical accuracy of that text.
We do not have the "original" manuscript (as is the case with all the books).  What we have in this case is cobbled together from later copies/translations written in Hebrew and Aramaic.
Translations into English and other languages of those later texts are very unreliable and often extremely misleading.

And don't get me started on the question of the apocrypha.

Right now I'm listening to Tomas Luis de Victoria's Requiem sung by the Tallis Scholars.  Wonderful *music*.  Almost as good as Allegri's Miserere.
@mahgister  Way to go in keeping a civil level of discourse!

How do you spell h,y,p,o,c,r,i,s,y?
@jond   Thank you for a breath--a gust--of fresh air in this often stifling thread.  It's reaffirming to discover there are some level-headed people out there.
This audio manufacturer brings everything together.  I can't understand why they're not more popular

@jond   Voice of reason and sanity in the midst of... well...

Iso et al.: I suggest another viewing of "The Matrix"; how can you be sure that the site you're posting on isn't part of the conspiracy?
