Counterfeit Chinese Cables

When i went for a purchase on aliexpress i have seen counterfeit at 50 bucks and some other Chinese cables with official Chinese branded name at the same price... Only a fool ( or a curious audiophile ) will buy an official counterfeit , i decided that if Chinese cables makers are able to create fake counterfeit at low price they will work better and invest better materials for their own cable under their own official name for the same price...😊

i was not willing to buy a Nordost cable at thousand bucks anyway or his counterfeit equivalent for 50 then ...

I am pretty sure a 50 bucks Chinese cable under official Chinese name is better done than a counterfeit at the same price ... Chinese sell to ignorant but they also sell to wise people and no Chinese cables maker want to sell trash under an official Chinese name .....

Anyway we will not stop chinese to create counterfeit cables nor will we stop few crooks to buy them and sell them as real on EBAY ...

It is why i will never buy well known very costlier cables used...Even from an honest customers save with an official proof of their origin...

And anyway cables are secondary factors in audiophile experience way behind the electrical noise floor of the house/room/system , the vibrations/resonance mechanical controls and with no comparison at all compared to the acoustics/psychoacoustics aspects of any system/room ..

Although this is wishful thinking in some cases relying on proper disposal of this garbage.
My biggest beef is with the concept itself - the manufacturing and distribution of the fakes plus the market that feeds and supports this industry which is everyone here who buys this 💩.
And by the way, good on ya for not buying the fakes!

If anyone is to dispose of these cables after you’re done, see if you can cut them and inspect what they’re made of. May be post some pictures here and add some real value to this thread.

Buying a counterfeit cable out of curiosity and throwing it in a drawer or in a bin trash after that is not being dishonest it is eliminating a counterfeit ... It is satisfying curiosity...

Conscious of that instread of buying counterfeit i bought at the same price Chinese cables with chinese branded names ..

Cables thread are the most annoying , I never bought a counterfeit cable but i felt attacked by the hypocrisy of "legalistic" mind throwing stone easily to others and closing an eye to other illegal but also illegitimate enterprise around us...

Buy what you felt ready to test but dont sell counterfeit ... There is nothing else to say here ...

Seriously i dont want to throw a stone to anyone buying counterfeit by human curiosity... I am in the same opinion as you about reselling them... It is a fraud...Period.

I never bought  a counterfeit even by curiosity  as i said because i dont take cables branded name seriously as a main factor ...

I am so glad not to be obsessed by cables which are among all factors implied in S.Q. experience a real but secondary factor...

It is the opposite for acoustics considered to be secondary factor compared to amplifier price tag or even to cables price tags...

Buying  Chinese conterfeit with a branded name by curiosity is not a sin ... Reselling it is a sin ... 😊

Because cables are for me secondary matter i bought genuine good Chinese cable with Chinese name ...

I never bought Chinese counterfeit cables with Occidental brand names...

What i did is buying Chinese cables with Chinese design name ...Problem solved ...😎

I was satisfied with no disturbing false branded name ..

If the Chinese can make a good cable anyway they can sell it too with a Chinese name and they did at even a lowest price ... 😊

Then there is no real advantage to buy counterfeit Chinese cables...

On the opposite there is good reason to buy some of their low cost cables ...

They dont change the cable technology because they put a counterfeit branded name with more flashy parts ...😊

By the way i never bought costly cables , counterfeit or not; acoustics and my own experience  taught me that the difference between cables when it exist is minimalistic compared to any embeddings controls ...

So, what could happen with the same defects in cables? Nothing? Bad sound? Blown speakers or electronics? Fire? Seeing the catastrophic failures of other counterfeit products, I am not going to risk my equipment or house. I’d rather use cheap cables that are fully tested from a reputable company, than knockoffs.

It seems an awful lot of people are ok with stealing, as they justify it with a number of ethical and moral gymnastics. Outsmarting right vs. wrong is laughable. They’re thieves, plain and simple. Anyone who knowingly assists the thieves in profiting from their crimes is no better, no matter how much BS they shovel on their actions to try hiding the truth. It’s amoral.

Stealing is stealing, whether it’s a penny or a million dollars. You took something that didn’t belong to you without permission. If you find that behavior acceptable, simply because a particular instance benefits you, your morals are for sale. That means you have none. Anyone who is offended by hearing that should be more offended by the face in the mirror. I would rather be poor and honest. My conscience wouldn’t have it any other way.

I dont know much , especially facing many people here who are very knowledgeable...

I am only trained for the best and the worst in relating facts and ideas...

I came here for friendship , even short term , or spontaneous , and i did not entertain grudges...

In each text of these books we were in the obligation to answer each question of each texts by writing and debating it orally once a week in opposite side with arguments then learning applied logic and rhetoric ...We learn geography,chemistry basic, biology and dissection , and physics...

I had zero in mathematics and english at this age 😊 because i was not interested , but when it interested me at 19 years old i learned it in english books by myself ..... Number theory and advance set theory ...Now i can explain to you Godel theorem meaning or the difference between set theory and category theory or topos theory ... .I studied linguistic as a hobby because of my college years ...

Today college education is a complete lost of time ... People learn to use a phone which is now the computer for the mass ...

Modern education was settled by corporate lobbies interests one century ago because the average citizen was determined to be no more than a specialized slave worker not an enlightened citizen ... Then it was not necessary to teach synthesis in an interdisciplinary perspective and intuition and freedom at all ... I will stop here ...

Now instead of being an old grumpy man remembering his past  i will be optimist :

Young people today had all the world  at the finger tips... They can learn by themselves how to free themselves even from the criminal corporations ...

Then even if my education was more litterate , i was not  necessarily freer from other conditioning...

@mahgister , I was recently in your country (in Montreal) meeting with a customer. Most of your high quality engineers are immigrant stock. The issue is labor rates in the US, Canada, etc....If a natural born Canadian plumber or a hvac repair guy or some landscaper installing goofyass french drains can make more than an engineering PhD, why the hell would he go through all the insane trouble of going through PhD courework? The pay grade for the savants of society is indeed terrible. It’s the immigrant pool that largely keeps these countries afloat w.r.t technical excellence.
