Chord Qutest

I am about to settle on a Chord Qutest based on the reviews but I have not seen any review on its RELIABILITY.

A few buyers have complained that after a few months, it has stopped working for them.

Has anyone had such an experience and/or has anyone had one for longer than about 3-4 years who can vouch for its reliability ?

I understand that the headphone amplifier is now in the middle but since it is said to be of great quality, can anyone really detect a degradation ? Has anyone actually tried this ? I must admit I like the fact that Mojo2 includes tone controls which Qutest does not. Thanks
