CAT cable installation - NYC electrician recommendation

Hi - I want to have a CAT 6 line installed in my New York City apartment.
1) Is Cat 6a the cable I should use?
2) Can anyone recommend an electrician (some one who may be into audio/video)?

thanks!

Based on this:

Since you are going to be near a lot of noise sources, just make sure what is installed is shielded, and that you have the appropriate switch for it. I believe, but am not sure if shielded Ethernet requires fancy switches with grounded plugs.  I say this based on my experience in a trade show in a NYC hotel room.  Man, you pick up everything.

Seems 6a is the highest performance cable right now, but it’s going to be a very very long time before you need 6a/10 GBps, unless you run a server farm.

Based on cost performance, it seems Cat 6 (shielded) is a very good choice, but ask your installer about cost differences.
