My Cornwall 4's very much like vintage "General Electric" 10 ga. cloth covered wires (36 strand tinned copper.) These can be found on Ebay and such. Of course, you have to attach connectors.

Jay's Audio CDT3 Mk3 Transport

Holo May KTE DAC

Primaluna EVO 400 Preamp

AGD Audion Mk3 Monoblock Power amps

Pair of REL S812 Subs

Cornwall 4's

Have you experimented with modern speaker cables? How did you land on the vintage wire?

It's a thing. The Japanese have always especially liked it in tube amp setups though not necessarily in that gauge. My wires were salvaged from an old telephone transfer station.

I have used Audioquest speaker cables (Rocket 33 and 44.) They were pretty good, but had issues with over-trebling the Cornwalls. Obviously, I didn't take as many spins around the block as many do with cables on this forum.

Dueland cables have the same pedigree as the General Electric.

I still think my over 15 year old JPS Labs Superconductor 3 speakers cables are some of the best ever, and I'll never give them up.  My audio system only requires one pair of interconnects, which are the absolutely incredible Audioquest Thunderbird interconnects.  I highly recommend these cables.  I also use a JPS Labs Aluminata PC (brilliant),  Audioquest Hurricane and Firebird PC's.  Highly recommended!!!  Happy listening
