CANTON SPEAKERS

Is anyone using Canton speakers? Have you had the chance to compare them to models from: Proac, Sonus Faber, B&W, or any other mid-fi to upper end lines. Any feedback is appreciated.

Hello, I have the Canton Vento Reference dc5 speakers from 2008. An amazing speaker for soundstage and an exciting level of DETAIL. Bass although not deep, is very clear and fast - especially for jazz. Always liked their midrange:-)

However, be warned that these Cantons are ruthlessly revealing. Any deficiency in recording and especially in vocals is going to show up here. That's the flip side and the price you will pay for this incredible detail. On a good recording they will hold their own and sing. Hope this helps and good luck.

For what it's worth---I have a pair of Canton Karat 200s from 1986 (made in West Germany). I have them in my vintage system and they still sound awesome.I also have Dynaudio Special 40s and Tekton Lore References. They can compete with all of them.
