Can old ceiling speakers be used as Atmos Fronts?

Hello group,

There’s some old KLH Ceiling speakers in this house I bought. Rather than ripping them from their roots and re drywalling, I have left them up as an eye sore with my KEF speakers right below. Two little letters, what a difference...

My question to this group is whether those would work as Atmos speakers? My Denon AVR has the ability to designate these as front Atmos, the wires are already run, so I ask you WHY NOT?

Any thoughts for or against?
