I have a CA V1 and I love it. Have tried it with other DACs and the sound quality equals that of expensive stand alone DACs (Bryston). Punchy sound with good detail. Highly recommended. |
Yes, I really didn’t expect the quality there. Before buying, I thought that I’d probably have to return it.

Trouble in paradise..
I had to return the streamer.
‘The Chromecast app was acting finicky, and today it stopped working altogether. Despite many attempts at reinstalling, I gave up. I’m returning it to Amazon and ordered a new one, arriving Friday.
‘Hopefully this is not an endemic problem with the Cambridge streamer.

Well, the new Cambridge came from Amazon the day after I ordered it, and blissfully it is streaming Chromecast in hi res. |

i just yesterday got a Peachtree Nova 150
Which CXN output do you suggest:
optical
coax
analog
have it into the coax now and it sounds great!
BTW I just started using an integrated amplifier again after 50’years of separates!

The Cambridge CXNV2 is a dream to use-
using Qobuz for the main!
Having Class D amp is great especially living in Florida since it’s essentially heat free. Not my first Class D- used a PS Audio up till a week ago and before that a bunch of A/AB by Primaluna, McIntosh, Boulder, Quad , Dynaco and Belles!

I switched to optical for the CXNV2 since I only have one coax input and have that to my CD player which has an analog and digital output. The CD layer is a 1995 Calif Audio Labs Icon Mark II. I fig that the Peachtree Nova 150 has a newer DAC
than the CD player- who knows?
my auditory memory is not that good to compare the two and remember! |
BTW going from separates for over 50 years to an integrated amplifier makes the back of my gear look quite nice. Prior to the integrated amplifier it looked like a road map of Washington DC-
Also my last two set ups were class D /-a lot less heat and to my shock the Two Class D setups were very pleasing acoustically. I’m impressed with the Peachtree! |
I am considering to buy a CXNV2. I read that Qobuz is integrated in StreamMagic App. But I would like to be able to import (download) high res music from Qobuz to listen off line. Since CXNV2 has no internal storage drive, my question is:
Does anyone knows if it is possible to configure a Pen Drive (or external HD pluged in the USB port) as the import folder of Qobuz inside CXNV2?

I’m not sure I understand your question, but if it helps to know, you can access Qobuz independent of the StreamMagic app.

Thank you for answering. Let me try to explain better: the whole question is if the Qobuz application inside CXNV2 allows offline playback.
On the Qobuz desktop or android apps, the music that you select manually to listen to offline is available in the “Offline Library” Tab .
Since CXNV2 doesn't have an internal drive to save this music, I would have to connect an external SSD or pendrive for this purpose. For maximum quality, I don't want to use chromecast or bluetooth.
So, the question is that if Qobuz app inside CXNV2 recognizes an external drive to save high res music along with albums, tracks and playlists and make them available in the “Offline Library” tab.
