California Audio Labs Icon Mk2 upgrade

Does anyone know if the power boss was a factory upgrade available at time of purchase or after market?

No third party offered it. It added a few things including hdcd capability. You could have your original or Mk2 Icon updated to power boss. i had my original Icon updated
