Buying computer speakers..suggestions?

My son's birthday is tomarrow and he wants a speaker set up to go with his computer. I was just going to go down to Comp USA or CC, nothing expensive but adequate. What have you found that works for you? Thanks.

Ended up with the Advent system. Found it at nearly half price. My son is very happy with the set up! Now for Christmas shopping!
