My thought is this. You are trying to place a square peg in a round hole. If the Vault could do this, don’t you think the engineers, designers and advertising dept would have listed that as an option? If you place it in your rack vertical and it works for a year ...then stops working, would you say the player failed? When it had feet on the bottom, but you mounted it vertically to fit in your rack? Find a place to put it on its feet.... that’s my suggestion. Or get a new rack. BTW I have a Vault2 and it works beautifully...the way it was designed to work.
Bluesound Vault position
I've found my Bluesound Vault is better situated on my rack in the vertical position. I'm certain streaming will not be an issue in this position, but I'm wondering if burning to the internal hard disc could be affected or if listening to already burned music could be affected. I played a couple of CD's I've burned to the internal hard drive and it seems to be ok, but perhaps the sound could be degraded. Doesn't seem so, but I'm wondering if you all have opinions? I tried googling it to no avail.
