Best way to hook up a streamer. Specifically Lumin T2
Is there a BEST method for connecting a streamer to a preamp?
Specifically, I'll be using the Lumin T2 going into the Anthem STR preamp.. I want to use the Lumin's DAC so I guess I have RCA and XLR. Would I really see a difference between these?
Lumin recommends the XLR outputs but if you have both types of cables, preferably the same one, then try it both ways and pick the one that sounds best to you.
DTX, enjoy your T2, I've had mine about 1 year and am very satisfied. I leave it in standby mode with the screen turning off after 15 minutes of idle time. My amp only has RCA inputs so that's what I use. JackD is correct to use the XLR connections if they are available to you but try RCA also to see what you prefer.
