Best value in a vintage Luxman TT

I am hoping to find a nice DD Luxman turntable to mate with a Luxman integrated amp. I have done some reading, but interested in which models AG members would recommend to me to look for. I am pretty sure it will be in the PD-2xx series. I am thinking a later model, but also would like one with the Micro Seiki sourced arm.  (Not sure if there are limited models with that arm) Is there a sweet spot in the line where prices are not crazy and reliability is good? Thanks

I am definitely becoming a fan of Luxman gear.....

I helped a friend purchase a Luxman PD-444 Two Tonearm TT, and two Micro-Seiki 505S Arms (S = silver wire). 9" on right side; 12" on left side.

Very solid TT, more technology than you realize. Get manual here

Micro-Seiki 505 Tonearms are wonderful, instant Arm Height Change. Be careful regarding which version, all parts good. If you see a tempting listing TT or Tonearm, let me know, I became very familiar with them.

You need to learn about the sliding/locking plates, some have home made ones, get the OEM ones, this seller says one is 'upgrade' version?

This TT one will need one arm to start, and a second arm if desired whenever.

often need a simple voltage converter to use with usa 110v

The single arm version is PD-441

I've just purchased another Vintage TT through this web portal in the link.

I have 10 TT's purchased to date through this method and portal and only have had one experience where I felt the service could have been better.

The TT in the link will need a little TLC as is the latest TT I have purchased going to need.

I know through experience aesthetically tatty does not mean mechanically or electrically the TT is wanting. I have had TT's looking nearly new, that have had tragic mechanical issues, these unwanted conditions can be met with any purchase from any vendor when it comes to a Vintage TT.

Today I buy as cheap as I can and let those who understand the Brand/Model to breathe on it and give the TT a chance to deliver with a modern thought process and modern edge applied to the function.

The link might appeal or not.

Elliot nailed it. The PD444 is definitely the best of all vintage Luxman TTs. If you only want to mount one tonearm, there is the PD441 with all the other features of the 444.

The PD 444 with Tonearm in the link sold for $870, the Tonearm will have most likely sold on for $300+ if it was not wanted to be put to use.

If that PD444 is in good working condition, it was a steal at that price. Typical asking prices are at least 3X higher and more.
