Best upgrade path for an older but nicely maintained Linn LP12

@sondekmcintosh  Your LP12 should sell quickly, although I personally would not sell to go solely to Sonos, but like you said, to each their own. 
Depending on condition, your LP12 would probably get somewhere between $6k and $7K. You might want to see how much Dave at Accent would give you for it, I'm sure he has a waiting customer base.

I get all that and agree. but to each their own. I read what everyone writes, ignoring some and listening closely to others. "I work on it myself" is a big fat tell in most (if not all) cases. Dave and Alma at Accent on music are the best of the best. They are the only ones I ever let touch my turntable. I am however getting ready to sell. I hardly ever listen to it and hate to say this out loud but Sonos is usually my platform of choice these days. Music in my life has become a background means of filling the air behind conversation and work. My latest passion is for vintage cars, so I have finally (after a long time considering) decided to cash in my audio system and put that money into another car. My current table is a LP12/kore/ Karousel/Lingo2/Ittok LVII/Dynavector 20X HO. I will also be selling a McIntosh MAC7200, and a set of Pranafidelity Bhava speakers with Sound Anchor stands designed especially for the speakers. I hope to post it all on Audiogon in Oct.

Do you have an educated guess what I should ask for the LP12? It's in beautiful shape. Your advice will be welcome.

@sondekmcintosh Firstly, the folks at Accent on Music are first class and truly know their stuff. Secondly, when you post about LP12’s these days..on just about any audio forum, you will get LP12 haters who really have absolutely no clue about the table putting in their 2 cents worth. IF you can get a Keel at $1200-, I would jump on that immediately!
The upgrades to the LP12 are not only well worth it, but also without exception are truly upgrades in SQ. As you may know, there is an upgrade path that should be followed. That path dictates upgrading from the inside of the table out. Therefore, the bearing is the first to be done, followed by the subchassis, power supply etc., and out to the tonearm and lastly the cartridge. The new Karousel bearing is a superb upgrade and the one that I would suggest be first on your list. ( although the Keel at $1200- should be jumped on as well, if in budget!).

If you look at some of my other posts here and elsewhere, I am typically fending off the Linn naysayers who have either a) never owned or heard an LP12, but are 100% sure their Crossley is better at a fraction of the price, or b) owned an LP12 back 30-40 years ago, never could get it to work well because they worked on it themselves and managed to get the suspension to bounce once..and then had their car mechanic have a go, which confirmed their poor impression; and have now moved on to their favorite Technics.

broad sweeping statements along the lines of Linn upgrades are a waste of money is really not helpful to anybody.

I know a lot of people who own LP12s. I've oned one myself since the late 80s. Personally I wouldn't even consider tweeking one myself. I am happy to pay an expert to do so for me once every five years or so. I disagree about Linn upgrades being a waste of money. I've heard the difference between the arms for instance and just can't imagine anyone thinking one arm to be as good as the other. But to each their own of course. I do though wonder why a guy would own an LP12 if he thinks any LP12 upgrade to be a farce. Why not just buy a different turntable?

And I do my own set up! 

$1200 on a Keel? Waste of money! I am an LP12 owner and will never spend a cent on those exorbitantly priced "upgrades" from Linn!
