Best sounding Broadway recordings?

I would welcome anyone's top 5 list. Also, there are many recordings of "Les Miz", does anyone have an opinion which is the best sounding recording?

The best renditions of Broadway shows are the original stage cast recordings. I think this is because those who do revivals are always trying to be different. Usually the original performers got it right, so "different" is inferior. IMHO the great shows were back in the 40's and 50's, when audio quality was not up to today's standards. But, for just one example, no one has done "goin to wash that man right out of my hair" like Mary Martin. I have a scatchy old LP to prove it!
Try the new recording of Sondheim's "Pacific Overtures".
Also, the remastered (1961) "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying".
LoL, so no responses? Why?
1. There are no good sounding Broadway recordings (I suspect this to be true)
2. No other audiophile listens to broadway.
3. No other audiophile will "admit" they the listen to broadway"
:-)
