Best recorded Nina Simone???

Can any of you Nina Simone lovers out there tell me which of her cd's are recorded better than others? thanks

rec Details Discussions Posts This discussion Message User 328 posts 06-13-2004 at 08:33pm Copy Comment URL Report Comment Edit Delete As a long time Nina Simone fan with an extensive catalog of her lps and cds I think that "Nina Simone and Piano" and "Sings The Blues" are very good recordings on cd. Recently a box set of her Phillips recordings, 7 lps on 4 cds was released called "Four Woman". It may be too much for the casual fan but the sound reproduction is very good. With the exception of a few budget label cds most of her catalog is fine sounding on cd.
