As a long time Nina Simone fan with an extensive catalog of her lps and cds I think that "Nina Simone and Piano" and "Sings The Blues" are very good recordings on cd. Recently a box set of her Phillips recordings, 7 lps on 4 cds was released called "Four Woman". It may be too much for the casual fan but the sound reproduction is very good. With the exception of a few budget label cds most of her catalog is fine sounding on cd.
