Been out of HiFi for awhile and looking to get back on a budget - Power Conditioner Ask

I used to use a BPT 3.5 Signature in my set up and was very happy. Present circumstances don't allow for the same outlay. Are there other options which would get me 70,80, 90% of the performance of the BPT balanced conditioner for less? I am looking at Equi=Core 1000 or an Equi-Core 1800 V1 used for around $700. Does anyone have familiarity with a product offered by Antek? Their model BP-1300 uses a balanced torroidal transformer, 4 outlets, weighs in over 30# and can be had for only $300. Is anyone familiar with these and can speak to how they would compare with the BPT 3.5? Any other suggestions?

So you say you've been out of HI-Fi for a while? And the first thing your asking about is a Power conditioner? I say Dump it! Ive never used a power conditioner nor will I start any time soon after 40 years of having stereo systems of all SQ levels. Any decent systems amplifiers are going to have fully regulated power supplies so it makes me laugh when I see people spending a lot of money for these conditioners that literally rob the life out of your systems sound!

Here’s a BPT at only $200 for local pickup in Forest Hills, NY. When looking for affordable pre-owned audio equipment, visit HiFi Shark.

I’ve got two balanced power conditioners - one is for the streaming chain in another room, the other is in my main system for the source components - not the amp. Definitely improves the SQ.
