Becoming Led Zeppelin

Caught a matinee viewing(Non Imax- unfortunately)with the friend for the opening of "The Song Remains the Same" in 76.

Timeline focus is on the 1st & 2nd LP and well paced. It was nice to see footage I haven’t seen before.

The picture and SQ surprisingly good, which had me wishing we made the effort to see the IMAX version.

Zepheads- see the IMAX version if you have plans to see this

Fun watch for a Rock film.

Zep trivia- JPJ revealed he listened to Quads in his setup!

I saw them in 73? Houses of the Holy tour.   Amazing but the drum solo went on and on for way too long.  As a side note, my GF, now my wife said that Robert Plant had a huge boner throughout most of the show.  We were sitting third row center at the Providence Civic Center.  Thought I would share that bit of nostalgia.

Robert Plant "Fate of Nations" is a beautiful album along with "No Quarter" Paige and Plant from the 90's. I was in my teenage days just discovering these guys.

Absolutely rocked out watching this Documentary at the movies. What a tribute to the musical genius of Led Zeppelin.

Thanks for this, we caught the last day of it showing near us. Only 3 others in the theatre,

The story, a big screen, a big sound system, it's worth it. See it again at home when it get's released eventually.

Normally I would prefer IMAX, but we would have had to go into NYC for that. I just told my friend, just see it big screen, big sound, it's more the story, the interviews, and the music benefits from being played in a big space, but film and sound track is not very high quality, not IMAX like you have experienced when it is awesome.
