Always nice when OP's update their threads. 
And you have what are reported to be the most resilient DAC's regarding switches and filters.
Basic switch....should I upgrade?
I'm using a D-Link switch into a EtherRegen (with an AfterDark PSU & Clock) via a Signature Ethernet Cable. Coming out of the EtherRegen I use a basic fiber optic cable into my streamer. (All connects/cables not mentioned are upgraded.)
Simply put, should I upgrade the switch or does the fantastic EtherRegen clean up the switch's audio shortcomings?
Please don't tell me to get a TT!

@mclinnguy I’ll bite. Some DAC’s are more able than others to withstand poor Ethernet or poor data in? (My house comes complete with poor power and no decent internet untill Starlink.) If you’re complaining my equipment, then of course your’e a gentleman and fender Rhodes scholar. |
Rising up to the top of my "next itch to scratch" list is the Tempus. 30 day trial -I really hope I have good ethernet, if you know what I mean. But after trying the "cheap" smoothlan and being in disbelief as to what this little thing did, on top of the etherregen, I expect I will be out some more money. I will echo your all in the digital chain matters quote. |
