Backert Labs Rhumba Extreme 1.3 to Naim NAP 500

I have been through the ringer here and cant understand what is going on.

Story Time...I purchased a Backert Labs Rhumba Extreme 1.3 and it works perfectly with my Bryston 6b SST2 amp.  A Naim NAP 500 (not a DR), cane available inexpensively.  Thiught I would take a risk because it was from a dealer.  I recieved it and when I hooked it up the right channel is fing loud and the left channel is as quiet as a mouse.  I called the dealer and we shipped it directly to NAIM.  They said everything was fine with the unit but recommended their XLR cables because Naim wires their amps differently.  Well today I get it back, hook it all up, and the Naim cables dont even get sound.  I hook backup the BJC XLRs and it still is doing the same thing.  Backert Labs checked the preamp out also while the Naim amp was in Canada and they said everything is fine.

Anyone have a clue WTF is going on.  Anyone have a work around, or should I just get a f'ing refund?

I have a feeling they Naim amp has different pinouts on the XLR input.  I looked online and the XLR wiring is different for the left and right channels.  They arent mirrored like normal.  The negative is the same, but the positive and shield are switched.  I might have a cable company make me a special cable.
