Audirvāna News - Antipodes and 3D Lab with Audirvāna inside their music servers.

Audiovana email received today announces “Discover our first ’CorePlayer’ partners Antipodes and 3D Lab with Audirvāna inside their music servers”.

“An upcoming software release from both companies will soon include Audirvāna linux core player app. So Audirvāna will run directly in their music servers and network players. Owners of the Antipodes Kala or Oladra or 3D Lab Nano models will therefore be able to choose Audirvāna to manage their music and play it directly from their server. They will control it simply using the Audirvāna Remote app on their smartphone or tablet”

“Audiovana also announces new ’Plāys with Audirvāna’ partners: AURALIC*, LUMIN, MATRIX AUDIO, NAGRA and TRINNOV”.

My Infigo Audio IS-1 Streamer also includes Audiovana software installed.

FYI: Audirvana Studio enhances audio quality on computers by optimizing the operating system for audio playback and disabling non-essential services. It functions as a third-party player, scanning local music libraries and integrating streaming services like Tidal and Qobuz, but not Spotify or Apple Music. Audirvana offers both subscription and lifetime license models. The software is praised for its superior audio playback quality, which improves dynamic range and clarity.

Since my Audiovana App is running on a LINUX server, I thought this was interesting:

“Audirvana on Linux differs from other platforms primarily in its headless server setup, meaning it operates without a graphical user interface and is controlled via a remote app. This setup is ideal for users who prefer a centralized music server. Unlike the Windows and macOS versions, which have desktop interfaces, the Linux version requires command-line interaction for updates and configurations. Additionally, the Linux version is optimized for sound quality using ALSA, potentially offering better audio performance due to reduced system interference”.

I have a Antipodes Oladra, so I'm interested in when the upgrade will take place and how it will be implemented?

@ricred1, The email I received from Audiovana said “ An upcoming software release from both companies will soon include Audirvāna linux core player app. So Audirvāna will run directly in their music servers and network players”. It said nothing about when.

please call Antipodes and ask them Or, post this question on the Audiovana Community Forum.

I received an Audiovana email yesterday and it said “Discover our first ’CorePlayer’ partners Antipodes and 3D Lab with Audirvāna inside their music servers”.  I have no other info.

I'll send Mark Cole with Antipodes Audio an email. His customer service is outstanding.

Audirvana pulled the trigger a bit early there.
We are indeed an Audirvana partner.
Audirvana won’t be available on Antipodes Audio Music Servers until mid 2025.
If this changes we will make the announcement here.

Sure will be a welcomed addition after struggling with the ridiculous LMS Squeezelite UI.

I do not understand and must be missing something. The above post says “ This delay is due to the need for Audirvana to develop a compatible version for Linux, which Antipodes servers utilize”.

I am running Audiovana on my Infigo Audio IS-1 streamer that uses LINUX. It seems The confusion arises from the fact that Audirvāna has indeed released a Linux version, as of June 2024, which can be used on various Linux-based systems, including NAS devices like Synology and QNAP.

However, Antipodes Audio Music Servers may have specific requirements or integration processes that are not yet fully compatible with Audirvāna’s current Linux offerings. This could explain why Audirvāna is not available on Antipodes servers until mid-2025, despite being available on other Linux platforms.

For Audirvana to work seamlessly with Antipodes Audio Music Servers, several specific Linux features and configurations are necessary:
    1.    Processor Compatibility: The server must have an Intel or ARM 64-bit processor, as Audirvana supports these architectures.
    2.    Linux Distribution: It requires a Debian or RPM package-based Linux distribution.
    3.    Network Visibility: The server must ensure proper network visibility for music folders, as issues with network discovery can prevent Audirvana from functioning correctly.
    4.    Sufficient Resources: At least 1 GB of RAM is required to run Audirvana efficiently.
These requirements ensure that Audirvana can integrate smoothly with the server’s hardware and network environment.

I should have a chance to listen to the Infigo Audio IS-1 Streamer and Method 4 DAC in the next couple of weeks. I use Infigo Audio Signature XLRs and USB cable.
