Audio Show - Best Sound comments

Well, we all know that....Audio Show is over and we can read in - nearly - every Forum the comments from "listeners"....as usual, what one "likes" is horrible for the next.
What do you think is the reason for all these different "opinions"?
A good sounding System is a good sounding System, or?
Maybe it is too cheap, too expensive for one or the other? Or hypes from hidden dealers who represent this or that brand? Or really bad even when a few write how great it was...or the other way....

My personal "opinion"?
Well, after visiting 15 years various shows...whatever I rated as awful/Accelerator for getting ear cancer I NEVER found sounding even a touch better in private Systems later or in Dealer Set Ups ...I think, weak brain is weak brain, even in a shiny box with a high price tag. So, I think, you definitely get what you hear... but the price tag will influence you more... and most think, getting a good price for something will increase its - non-existing - "qualities"
But I think, some see it different :-)

After visiting various Shows a quote from Abraham Lincoln pops up more and more

“You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.”

High End Audio lost its way
We get what we deserve.
Some caustic remarks...

Everybody's hearing is different. To analogize - you like a film, in fact you love this film but your friend thinks it's utter crud. You can't believe they hate it & think there must be something wrong with them to condemn this wonderful work of art...

When you audition the gear you try to find shortcomings (critical mind), but when you already spent a lot of money you concentrate on positives to justify your choice, but also to simply enjoy the music. Getting a good deal allows to stop being critical sooner.
