Are you familiar with this guitar virtuoso

I really enjoy excellent musicianship and performance and have always emphasized here (and elsewhere) that this is why I listen to music, and this "playing / performing has been number one for me with our hobby. Yeah, yeah, yeah, give me tonal accuracy, spatiality and an awesome soundstage experience, but it is this aspect of "music" that makes it all worthwhile for me. At 70 years old, I have followed many musicians of every genre of music throughout my lifetime. I have spoken here before about Matteo Mancuso as being, imo, a guitar virtuoso, and everyone should check him out. But here I encourage everyone to give a listen and vision of this fella. Check out Roy Buchanan on YT with Roy’s Bluz (live 1976). If you enjoy it, great. An unhappy ending to his life. Enjoy! and always, my best to everyone. MrD.

@stuartk - sorry, I just noticed the Roy Buchanan part of the OP, not the Matteo Mancuso one; I wish him the best of luck!

Listen to Mancuso's cd, Journey, and you might change your mind about him. He is quite the humble guy and is doing his thing. If you look up the meaning of "musical artist", Matteo is all of those things, however, still growing and developing. I am a fan boy for sure. Danny Gatton yes, he is sure up there.

@stuartk

Matteo is already an artist. Will he grow into the popular artist like Eric Clapton probably not. John McLaughlin who had jam sessions with Matteo definitely ain't as popular as Eric Clapton as well so go figure.

@larsman

Well, in retrospect, it's unclear to me whether the OP's intended main focus was Matteo or Roy, so your guess is as good as mine!

@mrdecibel

Thanks for the recommendation. I’ll check it out.

@czarivey

I would never claim to know better than Johnny Mac!

Perhaps I’m allowing my subjective taste to cloud my perceptions. Generally, I tend not to like such "note-y" players.
