Are there any recording artists you just can’t listen too?

For me there is one that has always been top of the list.

Edith Piaf…..l just can’t think of anything worse.

Do not get me wrong and consider my choice is in any way racist….l love to listen to music with songs in any language… Italian, French, Spanish…..

Russian and German can however be extremely demanding, but Edith Piaf (if possible in any language) is a potential harrowing experience.

Do any others on here have a similar artist, or artists that can trigger the same physical reaction?

….. ‘people are getting bent out of shape’

Just love that description.

As the OP l have to agree with you.
My original post was to just say what rattled me with a certain artist. She came on the radio at lunch that day and brought it right back again. The reaction, not the food!

It was to enquire if any physical reactions occurred to other music lovers and which artists suddenly garnered such a reaction. I didn’t want to impart a critical comment on the singers performance as musical tastes are individual preferences.
The over reaction and laying into individual artists just shows those people who do cross that line of intolerance.
That in return l believe has made this post so comical and entertaining.

I dislike artist that has great talent but they fall into a routine, they rely too much in their talent and don’t try hard enough.

This is the reason I appreciate artist who puts their soul and emotions into their act. Like Otis Redding, Janis Joplin, James Brown, etc

. . . if the meter would have worked out better, The Boss could have titled his best selling album Triggering Snowflakes In The USA.  As it was, it only sold over 30 million. . . .

I wonder how Born To Trigger would have gone over back in ’75?
