Are 1st Generation B&W 800D Still Considered Diamonds?

Does anyone know why B&W specifically list the 2nd Generation 800D Diamonds, if the 1st Generation also uses the Diamond tweeters? Are the 1st Generation still worth the purchase? and what’s a fair price? Just curious!

The 2nd generation "800 Diamond" made improvements on the tweeter crossover circuit as well as the tweeter magnet motor.
