Anything SS sounds better than D'Agostino ?

I never heard his amps, but some writers say just that - nothing transistor sounds better.
What do you think ? 
I listened on youtube a few systems with D'Agostino amps and preamps and liked a lot what I heard.

I would prefer the combination of Sony's SSAR1 driven by that 40 year Anniversary VFET designed by Nelson for them. No bipolar no Mosfet but pure VFET. Not for sale though. Otherwise increase speaker efficiency and do it easier.
Plenty of great sounding & looking amps with low power.
