Anyone upgraded the Jeff Rowland Model 8

Has anyone upgraded a Jeff Rowland model 8, and if so are the mods worth it? I have the model with the choke power supply,and it seems this kind of power supply is getting a lot of favourable press now. Is the mod to Ti worth it?

my experience is that ti upgrade to the 8 is not as good a value as the choke upgrade. i'd get a new power cord instead.

Sluggo 2, did you upgrade your supply to the dual mono supply from the choke? What power cord is a good match?
