Anyone tried Devore o/93 with Sugden A2 1SE

Just got a pair of Devore o/93. Powered by my exposure 3010s2d(110 W per channel) they sound a bit shouty and  hard in the high frequencies. maybe too much power.

was thinking of the Sudgen A21 SE. Anyone heard this combination? Would this amp be too warm for the devore? Other suggestions very welcome, but I am reluctant to try tube amps

Devores shouty and hard in the highs? Not a condition I think of with Devores. Curious if you've tried the speakers to different positions in the room and/or some acoustic treatment in the room. It also brings up the question of what you're using for a source. Which amp you use can make a difference but would suggest you also check the other factors.

Firstwatt, pass xa25, xa30.8, low powered class A Accuphase would be good candidates. Sudden a21 is alright. It's very mellow and soft. perhaps lacks bit of oomph and dynamics but good for long listening session.

Great combination. That Sugden is one of the best amps for Devore's...or any speakers that don't need tons of power. If someone asked me for a tube amp "substitute", it's the first one I'd recommend. I've owned it and heard it on quite a few different speakers.
