I liked the first Aurios which absolutely needed to be on a level shelf. When you did them right, they were very good. Then the company went to a deeper concavity to allow less level shelves. These were no where near as good. Isolation is a very inexact effort. I had a good deal of success with Aurios and poor experiences with soft materials, but now my speakers are on Townshend speaker cradles which are pneumatic. Most of my electronics are on Halcyonics active isolation bases. But both are expensive although quite effective isolation devices.
