Analog to Optical Converter?

Hi folks! I am trying to connect my record player that only has an aux output to my Bose soundbar 700 which only has an optical input. I am seeing a few old posts which claim you can buy a converter to do the job, wondering if anyone has had success with any particular product or can at least tell me if I’m going about this task wrong. Thank you!

Your record player has a built in phono stage that does RIAA correction and amplifies the signal from the cartridge. Yes?
