Analog to Optical Converter?

Hi folks! I am trying to connect my record player that only has an aux output to my Bose soundbar 700 which only has an optical input. I am seeing a few old posts which claim you can buy a converter to do the job, wondering if anyone has had success with any particular product or can at least tell me if I’m going about this task wrong. Thank you!
