Amazon Music HD on HEOS

System in question: Denon X3700H AVR (with HEOS built-in; used as a pre-amp)  —> Parasound A21 —> Martin Logan Motion 60XT / Martin Logan Dynamo 1000W (twin subs)

I only want to play music streaming. No more CDs / SACDs, etc.

I prefer Amazon Music HD to Tidal & Qobuz due to the number of hi res tracks & the greater number of albums available in general.

So, the goal is to stream it in best possible manner to my system. Roon is not possible at the moment (Amazon Music HD is not supported).

I have tried 3 options so far:
  1. Comcast: bad SQ
  2. Airplay 2 directly to Denon: average SQ
  3. Using the HEOS app linked to my Denon (ie: using the streamer present in the receiver): Relatively FANTASTIC SQ. This is what I want. After I heard this, I cancelled my Tidal HiFi and Qobuz Premier accounts.
However, the Amazon Music HD portion of the HEOS app (whether on Android or IOS devices) is extremely bad.
  1. Cannot play your own Amazon Music HD playlists / tracks. Have to search for a particular song / album / singer (very rudimentary search) or use their recommended tracks / playlists (good recommendations but that portion of the app is quite buggy too - you select one track and it plays something else for no reason quite often). No gapless playback.
Would welcome any feedback / solutions from those who have gone through the same issues. TIA.

Post removed

This is my 500th post and hopefully won't be placed in a post that will be removed. (501 all bets are off.)

The Amazon  computer app in exclusive mode produces the best sound quality.  I'm a Windows guy so I use a designated fanless pc into the DAC and Windows Remote PC app to control it from my laptop.  I've tried Chromecast optical, BubbleUNP, toslink out from the fire stick app and  Bluetooth and the app provides the best sound and experience. Have not tried Heos or the Amazon Link but the windows app has better specs. Before the chip shortage for the same price.  (Same computer is almost $100 more than 2yars ago)

That said I'm trying  the 90 day Qobuz trial and it does sound better than Amazon on my system.  It's not as stable and frequently crashes.  I've already had to uninstall and reinstall in the first week and the selection is no where near what Amazon provides.  There are three artists that I listen to a lot and my favorite albums by those artists aren't available.

Over the Rhine Drunkards Prayer

Pieta Brown Freeway

Sam Baker Say Grace.

The other issue is the Qobuz app performance.  It's really slow and laggy compared to Amazon and doesn't play well with Fidelizer.

I have submitted for album additions but I'm not overly optimistic.

Nothing's perfect but Amazon does a lot of things really well.  I've  also used a really long USB cable from my laptop to the DAC but tripping hazard was to risky for a long term solution.
