A-Pod for Magico A5

Hi - Is anyone using the a-pod with their A5 speakers? I am considering them, but they are expensive and not sure if they are worth it. Thanks, Todd

Yeah, they seem expensive at $1700 for your speakers. By comparison you could get highly-rated Townshend Isolation Pods for $1000 but looks like even their Platform or Speaker Bars would be around $1200 and their flagship Podiums would be around the same as the A-Pods. Certainly would make me think twice.

instead of the a-pods you should try the Townshend podiums they isolate vibration down to three Hertz they're not cheap but they're nowhere near as expensive as the a-pods, When I put these underneath my monitor audio platinum 200 g2's it was as if I had upgraded my electronics to much more expensive gear, The bass got tighter faster more articulate The sound said you got deeper wider more airy and spacious, this is probably the best upgrade you'll ever do to your system gets rid of almost all room problems as well no vibration in the floor or the side walls, mine cost $1,900 Canadian, it depends on how heavy your speakers are and the dimensions to know which cell to get on the podiums. they even come with a guarantee if you don't like them you can send them back, I talked with their sales manager John and he said no one has ever sent a pair back yet that's how significant the improvement is. Google them and check out some of the reviews they've been excellent.

From what I have read (never heard them), the pods for the Magico are the best way to go. Anything else more expensive or cheaper won’t cut it. You have $25,000.00 speakers, why compromise with something lesser?
