A Manufacturer that pays return shipping

I believe in the quality of all of my audio components but also know that humans make them and that humans are not perfect. I was brought up to understand that there are no guarantees in life and that if I can't afford to play I won't.

The warranty components that I've had to send back that I purchased through a reputable dealer, always had the shipping paid one way, and in a few cases both ways, dealer paid one way, manufacturer paid the other. I would expect no less.

“What if you think it's warranty, but an examination by the manufacturer finds you overdrove the speaker motor and it is fried?”

Easy. Nikon does this with their cameras. They pay for the shipping, but if they determine that it’s not a warranty issue, then the consumer has to pay for the repair and shipping. 

There of course will be times when the manufacturer and consumer dispute whether the cause was abuse or manufacturer defect, but I’m going to assume the manufacturer knows their own product well enough to know.
