The Croft input sensitivity is 1.3 mv. The Hana will be fine!

The Audio Note has more than 3 times the output ( 6.5mv ) than the Hana. I think you are better off with a lower output cartridge like the Hana. BTW, the Audio Note is a Goldring! Here ya go! https://www.tnt-audio.com/sorgenti/audionote_iq3_e.html |
Yogi- Your advice has always been spot on... I'm starting to think the same, in that the lower 2.0 MV may be the happy middle ground here. People do seem to like their Hana's. Never easy, with a new Hana cartridge around the corner.... but I like the price of the SH. The new one is Microline, and sells for $1200 US. |
There is no compliance spec on those Hana cartridges. Why would they exclude something as important like that? https://www.needledoctor.com/HANA-MC-Phono-Cartridge-Shibatahttps://www.needledoctor.com/HANA-MC-Phono-Cartridge-Shibatahttps://www.needledoctor.com/HANA-MC-Phono-Cartridge-Shibata |
10 grams is effective mass of Amadeus arm. I will have to check out Vinyl Engine to see if the 5 gram (Hana) will be a nice match. donvito- agreed....don't understand why they wouldn't list compliance spec. I'm planning on making a purchase in a week or two, so hopefully I will have things sorted a bit better. |
