Nothing beats a real time audition. Info is to vague and question is too broad IMO.

14 x23 foor room carpeted on concrete floor..its a cd only system ( at present ) and even though I listen to all genres of music, I'd like it to sound as good as possible with folk and rock circa 1963-74 and old blues...any suggestions for a total system? it does not have to be WAF.
