I think you'll find the SA-102 is more delicate and more musical. I personally see no reason to go the 250, I think you'll feel you lost something. I wanted more dynamics with my 102 so I got a second 102 and bi-amp vertically. I would recommend this route first! Both the speakers you are talking about should be fine with the 125 watt amps.

You don't mention the Ario Pro's in the system desription. How far is your chair? It looks awfully close for such large speakers.

The speakers are about eleven feet apart and the chair is about nine and a half feet from each speaker. I know it looks odd, but this is how John Dunlavy recommends setting them up. If you can imagine, the speakers completely disapear when the music is played.

Tabl10s: Near Field listening position like that reduces room interaction problems (especially 1st order reflection points.)

Give it a try sometime, Wilson's Ratio is larger at 1.2 times the distance between the listener so you wouldn't be that close.

The SA-102 is definitely more delicate, I would not make the switch, I think you would be going backwards.
