Machina Dynamica
Geoff is a genius. If I could live with myself, I would do the same thing. He simply has cashed in on something that people obviously want. (some people) I really don't see the need to bash him. I don't believe in what he sells, but, a perceived i...
The issue of lowballing... What does that mean?
When someone sends a "lowball" offer, they know it. I don't really think anyone ever sells for that kind of price. Here is an example. A $7000 pre/pro, (current model) with a warranty. Offer comes in for $800. Does anyone really think the seller m...
Found Speaker After 6 Yrs,Bought & Lost In Minutes
That's bad luck. I've had it happen to me, but as the seller. More than once. I now list items I have one, or few of, as "offers only" I have to explain my price is firm when they contact me, but its better than having to tell someone I just sold ...
Do expensive cables/wires REALLY make a difference
I guess it depends on what you call expensive. Can you buy a good cable for 10 bucks? I'd say no.do you have to spend $500, again, I'd say no. The right cables do matter. There are many other things that factor in. I like to tell people if you tak...
Thinking of moving from AVR to pre/pro and amp
I would avoid the Arcam 700. (I'm an Arcam dealer) the 700 was "glitchy" to say the least. People use them, and enjoy them, but its not your best bet. The P1000 is a nice amp. I'm not a fan of Emotiva. I would try to make a deal for the 1000, and ...
Moving to Ireland from US
The Arcam integrateds have a user selectable switch on back so you can change the voltage.**dealer disclaimer**
Is there an amp that does 2-channel and all this?
The early Arcam 600's had some glitches. I had one, but never had an issue. Still, I know they were there. The problems were addressed with firmware updates, and they seem to be excellent now. I have not had any issues with any I have sold. To ans...
Do you ever just listen to music
Always. If I try something new, I'm critical. If you can't just sit and enjoy the music, I guess I don't see the point.
Dealer selling B stock doesn't tell customers
Lowrider,They can be one and the Same. Arcam for instance calls the units B stock. They may in fact be refurbished. They may have a cosmetic blem. We don't get a history on each piece. It basically comes down to the term the company uses. Klipsch ...
upscale audio is this legal?
It is possible that Upscale made an error... 1.5 years ago. If they did, it should have been addressed then. It's also possible that someone is trying to scam him. I'm not saying that is the case. The simple fact is, dealing on line, you do get pe...
Dealer selling B stock doesn't tell customers
B stock should be clearly listed as such. I sell a lot of it, and my customers get the same support/courtesy as if they walked in the store and paid retail. I'm not sure how B stock could ever be worse than used. It may, or may not have been used,...
upscale audio is this legal?
After 1 1/2 years.... your fault. Put the shoe on the other foot. I think you are really reaching here.
Anthem statement A5 or Classé audio CAV 180
I've never heard the Anthem. I love the Classe. The Arcam 777 is a great amp also, I use an Arcam P7 myself. (no interest in XLR) ***Arcam dealer***
Is it too much to ask....
There simply is no good reason to omit info on anything you are trying to sell. I'm amazed anyone would not put all that in an add. I usually know what I want. (on the rare occasion i'm buying) I also think it's "lazy" when I read "if you are look...
Is it too much to ask....
Marty,I can't say that I disagree with you, BUT, I also can't see any reason not to include ALL the info. Doesn't make any sense to me. People do want to see that. In the end, the more info you give them in the listing, the better for you.
