Kef R11 meta good pairing with Rotel RB-1552mk2?
It will work, but you might not get everything from those speakers with that amp. The KEF’s are 4 ohm speakers and typically crave power. While the Rotel states it is 4 ohm stable, it is conspicuously missing a wattage spec for 4 ohms which tells ...
Zafvino Silver Dart Graphene vs. ?
+1 for Acoustic Zen. I recently installed their Satori model and it was an amazing upgrade.
What is meant exactly by the description 'more musical'?
@tunefuldude You should do some reading about Lyngdorf’s approach.  Thanks, I will take a look. Sort of set on keeping my Coda power amp though, I am quite taken by it.
CODA amp No.8, Bryston 4B3, or Ayre VX-5 Twenty
Good to hear the Coda is working out for you. I had the same experience with break in with my Coda #8, it took at least a week of 24 hour play to start sounding right.

I feel that this is what is lacking in my system right now, and I am cycling through preamps in search of the right sound. I am trying to stay with solid state as it fits my lifestyle, but I may have venture into the tube world. I will know it whe...

Rather than focus on pure class A, you might want to look at A/B amps that are are biased to deliver more class A wattage before switching to A/B operation. Some vendors publish these numbers, others do not. Coda is one example. If you don’t play ...
I’m getting a hum in my integrated tube amp and it’s bugging me alot
Not an expert, but you may have some DC on your line. You might try one of these: https://avahifi.com/products/humdinger-dc-line-blocker There are other options, this one is fairly inexpensive.
A reasonably priced DAC upgrade from Schiit Gumby

I have the Gungnir with the multibit upgrade, are you saying yours does not have that upgrade?
Best RCA interconnect up to ~$100?
+1 for Blue Jeans, it is a great place to start.
Nad M33 or something better
That is a nice set of speakers! I have the LS50's and love the sound of them, I am guessing the Ref 3's are spectacular. Having gone through some upgrades in amplification with my KEF's, I would say that you could find some significant improvement...
Have you upgraded from a Freya?
Thanks for the feedback folks. @ozzy62 Beautiful piece of gear that Hattor, and very attractive pricing. I could not find any specs, specifically output impedance, on the site. Given it is passive, that would figure heavily into any decision. I t...
Have you upgraded from a Freya?
Following up as promised. I am really enjoying the Benchmark LA4, it is quiet, exceedingly neutral, offers great detail and is good for low volume listening. But of course I want more! "Exceedingly neutral" might be the highest compliment for prea...

Excellent choice.
Why Streaming Service Sounds ‘Flat’ vs Tune In /Local FM /Radio Paradise
Wait a minute. The OP says some streams do sound good. I can personally attest that the Jazz Groove is one of the better online stations, and if you subscribe you can get a FLAC stream from them. I agree that the Node is not the finest streamer an...
