Silver Breeze or Purist Audio Venustas phono cable
I have owned both and the PA is much better. The SA is nice for the money but you get what you pay for! I finally stopped and ended my quest with the Nordost TYR. IMHO the best of the three.
Power Cord for Power Conditioner
Not unless you want the benefit of their research in developing the Power Conditioner. Companies build their equipment using their own resources. If they build a cable they most likely developed their condition running their cable. Using another c...
Is it possible to get Hi-end sound ??
I wouldn't say that it's not a hobby for the poor. Not having the money doesn't put you at as big a risk. You do not have to spend 15 grand to enjoy what your ears hear. There's alot of lower cost components that would be stellar for someone who n...
In search of : Phono Stage to replace Rhea
Thanks to each of you for your input. There is a lot of information to digest in this quest. I just talked to my dealer and I'm going to demo the X-15. Jfrech, that make the most sense, since I'm running a Pass amp/pre. The ASR is very interesting...
Stealth Hyperphono vs. Silver Audio Silver Breeze?
I use to own the Breeze and it's a fine cable for the money. I auditioned the Stealth and it was better in my opinion. At 4x the price it was not 4x times better. Stealth makes some quality cables that are worth every penny. In my quest their phon...
JVC XRCDs -- your experience?

Aesthetix Calypso or Pass Labs Preamp
I haven't compared the XP with the Calypso. However, I run the XP-10 with a Aesthetix Rhea and it's superb. I also run an X250.5 ..........
Vinyl in the News
What a crock of crap. There's an APP for this and one for that ......... I'm sure a lot of those people buying via their phone also enrich the likes of Digital Downloads of the Black Eyed Peas . !@#$&^**&^
Gerry Rafferty dies
What a bunch of babbling bullshit. I admit, I read it and now I'm have a lot of second thoughts myself. If some people only knew ................
Maple platform under turntable, How thick?
I've tried numerous blocks/slabs, cones, points, ect. My SSM sounds best on a slab of granite with BDR cones (4) on each corner. Cones $10 each / granite slab $70 / $110 and well worth every penny ..........
Gerry Rafferty dies
I'm saddened even more by the British Press releasing his plagued faults. I guess when another talent passes and I'm not talking superstar. They will once again disclose the fault that took their life too. Raferty like many other born talents will...
Pc for Vpi motor
Upgrading the cord on the drive motor won't yield any noticeable improvement. On the other hand, the SDS would benefit slightly. I wouldn't break the bank on the cord. A step above stock would be sufficient.
JL Audio F113 or F112 For Dynaudio Confidence 5
As mentioned earlier, I had a 112 then went with two 113's. To me two are far more superior than one. I can't say the the 112 sounded worse than the 113, on it's own ( single sub drive) However, I have played the 113 solo and and a pair several ti...
JL Audio F113 or F112 For Dynaudio Confidence 5
I run (2) 113's with Usher BE10's. I agree that two is better than one. I started out with a single 112 and moved up to the 113 (pair). The 113 is superior to the 112. I only use the subs in a 2 channel system. I suggest the 113's if you can swing...
