Plinius SA-102 for Magnepan 3.6 I'm sure they will run them but not at optimal performance. I believe you'll need more power. Usually a safe starting point would be 300 watts/4 ohm. The 3.6's are "clean power" hungry speakers. You have a nice sized listening area too!
Used TT, Arm and Cartridge Michell Gyrodec w/ Tecno arm and a Van Den Hul Frog! Works great for me. It might stretch your budget a little but is well worth every penny .......
Sticky tonearm lifter on old Rega TT There isn't any adjustment on the lift assembly. I had P5 that had pretty much the same issue. I had to replace the the actuator in the assembly. It was pretty simple and not complicated at all. I ask of members pretty much same as you. I got resp...

Used turntable & arm combo for under $2500.0 I would look for a pre owned Michell Gyrodec with the Tecnoarm. A 9/10 rating will get you as close to new with out buying brand new. Your cartridge is going to be the key component in what your going to hear from your table. You could get a used ...
recommendation for turntable vibration damping You could put supports under your floor joists to stop the bouncing effect your experiencing. I take it since you insulated the floor you have access to them from your basement.
Beatles MFSL box set Theo,Your absolutely right about Moraz being a showman. He was a finely dressed musician in his own respect. I saw them on their "Other Side of Life Tour" and he was playing around with Thomas just as you outlined. The Anderson flute thing is real...
Beatles MFSL box set The best Moody Blues show that I have ever seen was in 72 when they were all pretty young. That was magical to say the least. I hadn't seen another show like that until Floyd did the "Dark Side of the Moon". Like I said before! If it make you happ...
Beatles MFSL box set I too saw them about three years ago in a small venue in Youngstown, Ohio. Ray and Patrick were both absent due to retirement. The acoustics were horrible in the facility. There was a lady on flute and she did a superb job! The German Imort of "Qu...
Beatles MFSL box set Mike,I agree that the original pressings are hard to beat. Breakfast with the Beatles is memorable event. Like I said there are some exceptions when it comes to MOFI. The Moody Blues "Seventh Sojourn" is one of my favorites! I have a lot of origin...
Beatles MFSL box set Hmmm ....... well I wish I could agree. I have found the MOFI pressings not to be at all the hype that surrounds them. There are a few exceptions but the Beatles box set just like that of the Stones is good money thrown away! This is just my opini...
Michell Tecnodec upgrade? I have the Gyro SE - Tecnoarm with a Van Den Hul Frog. It is one outstanding combination. As far as the two tables go. The two are not NOT comparable when it comes to performance. Your Dorian would be a good match for the Tecnoarm. I haven't much ...

Reasonably accurate, inexpensive dB meter--ideas? Radio Shack has a couple reasonable meters. I opted for the analog version over the digital. I bought mine a few years back and believe it was around $30.
What song turns back the clock? I grew up listening to WMMS out of Cleveland. I remember all to well the vivid snow snorms of days past. Here's a few that bring back memories.Bowie - Space OddityZep - Thank YouStones - Brown SugarRod Stewart - Maggie MaeEric Clapton - LaylaThere... |
