VPI Traveler v1 vs v2 comparison sbrownnw,Do you have the RP-6 now and the V-2? I was wondering what you did with the v-2? Did you resolve the issues?
HD Down Load compared to Analog. My apology Raul, I couldn't believe what I was reading, it was not your usual method.
HD Down Load compared to Analog. Raul, It appears that your mind was made before you even listened. As soon as the music began, it became apparent the HD Download was superior; there was a "jet black" background. This is something I had never heard before. I'm fully aware of the f...
Wood glue method of record cleaning VPI 16.5 is probably cheaper and is certainly faster.
Anyone enjoy their amp's sound more than music? I hope I never have to ask that question.

Which: $1000 MM or Transformer and $400 MC? Very nice table, it can sound great and I think it looks very nice also. Certainly a well built machine. I didn't see what tonearm you are using. If you per chance have the Satisfy arm a nice match could be the Clearaudio Maestro V2. It has a boro...
No more delays for posts showing up? I was re-directed to Network Solutions until about noon today. Obviously a domain glitch, it happens.

Is the V.P.I. Traveler made in China Kidman-I can tell you with certainty there are manufacturers at higher quality and prestige levels than VPI that indeed use off-shore suppliers for the bulk of their parts yet claim everything is made in USA. I know some well. I hate to say this b...
Better sounding after 1 hour I have come to agree with Elizabeth, I leave my ss amp and tube pre/phono on 24/7 for best sound. Most of my tubes have lasted for years with no problems and the pay-off is a consistently good sound.
Speakers that sound like Usher Be-20s/10s I would rather listen to Bose cubes than Usher BE, something about them that makes my ears hurt. Revel Salon 2 are polar opposite and a fine sounding speaker that I could listen to forever.
Speakers for Bryson 4B sst2 I would take a few $$ and put a tube preamp between the Bryston and speakers. I have matched a CJ tube pre with the 4B and the combo is magical. I found Bryston to be a bit cool and analytical but add a nice tube section and it's hard to beat. B&a...
Las Vegas Used HiFi I go to Vegas a couple of times a year for the past 20. The only place I have found any good audio equipment was in the dozens of pawn shops. I have made a few good purchases at CES and THE Show but that is only for the one week in Jan, of course. |
