Musical Fidelity A5 Phono Stage
Try a DV P-75. Its much better than the one in the A5.
Naim 5i with Jolida JD9 be ok?
I had a 5i and it was a huge disappointment. I would replace the Naim with a different integrated that has a built in phono stage.

"All this equal, are both cables jut as important or does the reclocker buffer clean the jitter up?Justubes2 (Answers | This Thread)"As far as I know, the cables don't have anything to do with jitter. So if thatÂ’s the case, you would just by cable...
Rare interference
Is that even possible? To hear stuff on the other side of the record? I'm not saying that its impossible, but it does seem far fetched.
SACD & other Formats
"03-04-15: HighendbobSACD is the way to go IMHO. Buy the Oppo 105 and have Modwright instruments give it the full mod. The player becomes a giant killer in multiformat players. I have one as well as the 25k EMM labs XDS1 they are closer than they ...
Which Mc better Mid/High performance in BiAmp set up?
B&W's advice is very good. They explain the sound that you will get very well. As long as you have an amp that has no problem driving your speakers, and doesn't make any big mistakes sonically, you should bet a much bigger jump in sound qualit...
3/3/2015 Another San Francisco Smash and grab
"Appears one of the owners lives in a condo above the store and was able to scream at the looters."I wonder what he was screaming? Regardless, incidents like this are proof that we need to institute a policy of gun control. And quickly.

"03-04-15: Behemot@Zd542Thanks,I'll give them a try - one at a time until I hit what suits me best.As a side note, one must wonder how complicated is it to build a decent sounding, user friendly, moderately priced playing software?Behemot (Threads...
Rogue Cronus Magnum Tube Rolling
Looking at your system, I think its most likely that your speakers are the problem, and not the amp. B&W tweeters have a tendency to sound harsh. I have a lot of experience with them. There are 2 ways to deal with this problem. The first is to ...
Rock and roll speakers?
Why don't we do it different this time. Instead of us investing a lot of time giving you answers, only to have you give us an education on audio, why don't you teach us what we need to know first. That way we can give answers that will properly su...
BAT VK 600se vs Electrocompaniet Nemo
I haven't heard the Nemo, but the BAT is a very solid choice. Wilson is pretty efficient and if you're not careful with component selection, its easy to get some hiss, or similar type of noise. Its very unlikely you'll have any problems with the B...
Building a new room
"03-03-15: MilpaiZd542,Unfortunately the ceiling cannot go above 8 feet."Not to worry, the bill for the system and the new room may go over 8ft. So at least you'll have something that high. For outlets and related accessories, try The Cable Company...

"03-02-15: Dave_72A hit in sound quality? Depends on the amp, really. You're right. Which is why I said this."Generally speaking, most people feel that you take a hit in sound quality when you bridge a stereo amp. There's a few exceptions, like the...
tonearm cable straight through or plug in
"Some manufacturers use the arm wire as an antiskate device! Which, of course, is up to them if they wish to save on production costs."How do know production cost is the reason for not using antiskate, and not a different reason like a better design?
